Taking an RV on a Washington State Ferry

Washington State Ferries charges a vehicle under 30 feet roughly double if it stands over 7 feet 2 inches tall. Across the seven crossings measured, the taller band runs between 1.96 and 1.99 times the shorter one. Only 33 of 473 Seattle RV listings publish an exterior height.

That is the whole problem in one sentence: the fare turns on a dimension 440 of 473 listings leave blank, which is 93% of the market. Ask the host in writing before you book.
